A.J. Franzen Memorial Auction February 19, 7:00 p.m. m.s.t Location: 4-H Building at the Archer Complex (Just off I-80 & mile marker
370)
On Dec. 18, 2010, we lost a very special friend, husband and father, A.J. Franzen. A group of friends have gathered to try to raise funds to help Barb, Jace and their unborn child financially.
As with most young couples it took both of their salaries to keep things going around their outfit. They have a
mortgage, car payments and trailer payment plus their day to day expenses. The loss of A.J.'s salary due to
his untimely death has caused financial hardship for Barb and the kids and it has become our goal to raise $50,000.00,
which will replace AJ's salary for one year. Not only are we asking for cash donations we will also be holding
an auction on Feb, 19, 2011, in Cheyenne, WY. to raise additional funds for Barb and the kids. We hope to be able to host that Auction on line which will allow AJ and Barbs many friends and family members, that can not attend, the ability
to show their support for AJ, Barb, Jace and their unborn child. For more information, please contact

Alfred J. Franzen, "A.J.,"
as he was known to family and friends, was born March 24, 1984, to Al and Lois Franzen of Sidney. There, he was raised
on the family ranch. He and his brother, Tim, grew up roping, where he found his love for horses and rodeo.
Throughout life, AJ had many accomplishments. He was a very decorated cowboy. He was a true perfectionist in everything
he did, whether it be rodeo, fencing or just having fun.
He attended college at Dawson Community College and
then transferred to the University of Wyoming, where he received his degree in Ag. Business and met the love of
his life, Barbara. On June 9, 2007, he married his life partner and made a home in Carpenter. Two years later, on Aug.
8, 2009, they had their first child, Jace. Jace was the center of AJ's universe and he lived every moment for
his son. They are expecting their second child in May.
AJ died in a tragic car accident on Saturday, Dec.
18, 2010.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Franzen; son Jace, and unborn child, Carpenter; his parents,
